Psychotherapist
In my practice, I am committed to providing a supportive and compassionate space for clients to work through their life challenges. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship focused on my client's vision for growth. I strive to foster an environment that feels safe for exploring and understanding emotions and experiences and developing skills and strategies for making desired changes.
I am a bilingual Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am licensed in Illinois and provide psychotherapy in-person on Chicago's North Side and through telehealth throughout Illinois.
I received my Master of Social Work from University of Michigan in 2007, where I completed my internship at the University of Michigan Psychological Clinic. With over 15 years of post-graduate clinical experience, my practice focuses on adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, sleep issues, family and relationship difficulties, and life and career transitions.
My professional experience includes providing psychotherapy and clinical supervision in clinic and healthcare settings, community support to individuals with severe mental illness and their families, and community development work with youth and families in Latin America.
My approach includes starting with a thorough assessment and developing a supportive, collaborative relationship. We will identify your hopes and goals for our work together and plan for the most effective path towards the changes you are seeking. Therapeutic work may include cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems approaches, or the integration of these and other approaches.
